New Staff and Other Things

Hi everyone,

We will have three new staff members joining our team next week. All are part-time customer service clerks.

Vicki Mullikin and Cindy Gutierrez will start at Bracewell on Monday. Vicki is a familiar face to us, because she has been a customer service substitute and has worked at all of our locations, especially at Bracewell. Cindy's sister is our colleague Daisy Ngo who worked for HPL for several years. DeAndre Rice will report to Vinson on Wednesday. I know everyone will do everything they can to make them feel welcome.

In other news, as many of you know, we are beginning the process of making Bracewell a stand-alone library. It will keep its current hours. Maggie has agreed to be its manager. I will continue as manager for Vinson and Blue Ridge. We do not have a date for the "divorce" as we are jokingly calling it. It is our hope that the connections and cooperation among the three locations will continue as they have.
