Darnisha Davis-Callier has taken over Ophelia’s old position in HR. So, if you contact Ophelia about an issue that she no longer has control over, don’t be surprised if she refers you to Darnisha.
The City will be conducting a drill on Saturday, November 2 to test our readiness to deal with a pandemic—basically a health disaster where the illness is spreading rapidly such as a terrorist attack using anthrax or a deadly new strain of bird flu. Many City employees will be asked to participate so look for more information in the near future.
Nicole Robinson is heading up a new committee to create a dress code.
On Wednesdays after the movies, the Salvation Army will have a table in the Concourse meeting room to reach out to the homeless, especially veterans and teens to offer assistance in finding housing.
Don’t forget to do your biometric screenings and wellness activities. Flu shots will be offered in October. Look for the announcement from the City.
