Review of guidelines for issuing new library cards

As Dr. Lawson explained in her email, this is a soft launch for our new library card.  We are not telling customers to “trade-in” their existing card for a new one.  That said:

·         Anyone registering for a new library card or needing a replacement card should be issued the new style library card.

·         Anyone who is renewing their card should be offered a new card.  Some people may prefer to keep their old card so they don’t have to change their library card number.  If that is their desire, they may do so.

·         If a customer requests a new card, they may have one. 

 

I hope this clarifies any questions about the new cards.
