Tax Season

Hi all,

As we all know, tax season is upon us.

The AARP volunteers will once again be supplying free tax assistance at Vinson, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:30, beginning February 3rd.

Please note that some adult programs (Classic Movie, Basic Quilting, Needlework and Conversation Society) will move into Noah's Boat till April.

Neighborhood Centers, Inc. (NCI) has worked with the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center to supply tax assistance as well at times that AARP is not here. They will offer tax services on Mondays Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 to 3; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 (except in March); and Saturdays 11 to 3.

As we have learned, the IRS will not be supplying as many forms or any instruction booklets this year through the library. All forms are available at irs.gov .

If a customer would like an instruction booklet or form mailed to them, they may request it directly from the IRS at irs.gov/orderforms , or by phone at 1-800-829-3676 (1-800-TAX-3676).
