Staff Meeting 2/1/18
Managers’ Meeting:
- Budget: FY19 no staff cuts for current positions but
vacancies for open positions may be impacted
- If you have outside employment the form for that needs
to be filled out and sent to CE admin. Must be done every year.
- Youth services meetings being moved to Thursdays May have to work to cover late nights, manager’s meetings may
move to Thursday.
- New manager at JOH and YOU
- Digital Strategies: new ink and toner request on
intranet; Envisionware being rolled out to those locations that had
iTeams, rest of the locations should get new software by end of the fiscal
year (June 2018) Ask if new system
prints from devices.
- Communications: Applications for Marketing Liaison Team
due Feb. 2; also still need to get videos of people talking about how the
library has helped/impacted/brought enjoyment to people’s lives. Consent needed.
Shelf Reading:
Time to switch, this round will last until May 1
Shelf read tasks include taking items off of the
shelves and checking for damage, tags, and Central items.
Trainings:
- NBC Learn- everyone scheduled to complete training next
week. I will send out an e-mail with the link you need to access it.
Sign clipboard for TMS credit.
- Everyone has been signed up for trainings on Talent
Management System (TMS). We will start assigning training times for
these trainings to be completed during February and into March.
Please let me know when you are finished with all of them. Check with Laura if unsure.
Reminders:
- Last day for health assessment to be turned in is on
Friday, February 2.
- We have to do better job of making sure Central items
are not ending up on our shelves. Bookdrop person especially but
also those shelving. Look for CEN, INFC,
YAC, cover CEN tag if it belongs to us
- New log kept at circ desk on clipboard of things people
ask us for and we don’t do; please write down what it is they ask for that
we don’t do and the date.
- Please remember when picking up items throughout the
day be sure to check items as “mark item used.” These numbers will
be added to our circulation.
- Last 30 minutes of the day everyone needs to out
on the floor to ensure the library is clean and ready for business the
next day.
- When assigned shelving you are to be shelving for the
bulk of the hour. Also, if you assigned area is finished and there
are more items to be shelved, please shelve those too. We need to
shelve especially on the days Mr. Ing is not here, that is why it is
assigned.
- Money is not to be counted until the gate is down; this
is for security purposes. We can print the merchandise category and
make photocopies of credit card receipts before we drop the gate.
- Please wash your dishes when you are finished using
them. Do not leave them to sit in the sink for days and days.
- If you are on bookdrop, please do it twice an hour;
once at the :15 mark and at the :45 mark. Also, if delivery has not
been finished the bookdrop person needs to finish it.
- Sign out of sirsi.
- ID badges are to be worn at all times.
