Southwest Manager’s meeting updates:

• Passport fees are being raise to $35 and photo fees to $10 starting April 2
• Marked Item Used stats- 14% of VIN total circulation; we marked over 1,000 items as used in January.  GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
• Robinson may reopen in late April.
• Grey bins only for delivery- not to be used for any other purpose.
• Online library card registration- we should start doing all library card registrations online and not by paper.  I have scheduled Saima from Virtual Services to come to VIN next Thursday to train us, but in the meantime there are training materials available on the training portal. If you click on the Training Portal tab and scroll down a tiny bit on the left side there is a link to “Online Library Card Application Training Materials.”  There are a couple of videos about the process as well as a FAQ which is very helpful. Please read up on this application process and familiarize yourself with it; if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Reminders:

• Please encourage people to check out hotspots.
• Catalogued romance novels are being shelved in regular adult fiction.
• There is a new schedule with all of the volunteers hours  listed.  The whiteboard will now just have notes about changes to those schedules.  Any questions please see Analisa.
• Tax forms- we have received 1040A forms.  We should get a second round delivery of forms and instructions in the next two weeks. Encourage people to contact the IRS directly about receiving the forms they need.  The IRS will mail whatever people request to their home.  We can print out a limited number of sheets for customers.
• Toner- as soon as the printer starts showing low toner please let Marie know so she can order a new one.
• Please be sure to check your email at least once a day.  I email about various issues such as Kronos or issues that I need a response about quickly.
