Friends sponsor a $5,000 scholarship for a library employee who wishes to become a professional librarian through a Master of Library Science program. The HPL employee who most recently completed his degree using our scholarship is Pedro Fonseca, who graduated in 2012 and works at the Kendall Neighborhood Library. In addition, Allen Westrick, our current scholarship recipient, is working on completion of his degree. Applications for the scholarship are being accepted now through May 10.
