Dear Helpdesk,
What the difference between the public wireless networks Library-Public and Library-Local? A customer wanted to know which one was faster and I really couldn't tell him the difference.
Thanks,
Karen Luik
Manager, Kendall Neighborhood Library
From Loc Huynh:
Wire is faster than wireless because you are connecting through the physical Ethernet cable. Wireless is connected by the signal.
From David Cleveland:
The Library Local network ID was added to resolve an issue with users not getting an IP address when connecting to WiFi. There is no speed upgrade for the Library Local network. If a user is having trouble loading web pages on Library Public they can try to connect to Library Local and see if that works
